All Nighter Part Deux

  • Jul. 28th, 2008 at 6:59 AM
Once again I am in the proccess of pulling an all nighter. I've been on blogTV from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. . Achieving a personal best of 18 viewers and 3rd most watched at the time. Back to this weekend, camping was really fun, went kayaking haha, played some monopoly with Uncle John and listened to a crank radio in the trailer. Came back from Pat's camp on Sunday around 3:00 and headed off to my camp. Had supper there, my aunt Jenny and uncle Steve were there, always nice seeing them. Then came back and went on BlogTV. That's all I can come up with, my memory isn't all that great at the moment.

And that's the end of that chapter.

Great mood today! Had an awesome birthday, went to Sudbury with family to go to Perkin's, my brother told me I would not be able to eat the meal they were famous for. I'm awlays up for a challenge, especially an eating one. It had 12 pieces in it (3 eggs, 4 pancakes, 4 pieces of bacon and homefries). I didn't even come close to eating it, just over about half. Amazing restauraunt, my new favorite. Come back from Sudbury and head over to North Bay with Lysh to go watch Dark Knight (10/10) (saw it for the third time now). Then we went and had supper at Boston Pizza, we had a new waitress, she was really funny, took my iced tea when I only drank half of it. Really nice place, good food and nice people. Came home and on the way had a police car storm by me on the highway, got my heart going.

Today I advanced in the business world, got qutie a few flyers out and got business cards being made. Now I'm off to Pat's camp for the night, hopefuly go kayaking too!

I bought a new webcam while I was in Sudbury, a really nice one, it can follow me... So now I should be on BlogTV more often now, won't be on for a while but should see me on later on in the weekend. Here's the link again for it http://www.blogtv.com/People/HouseofBrouse . Well I'm off, see you around.

And that's the end of that chapter.

18 and Life to Go

  • Jul. 23rd, 2008 at 12:16 AM
Almost 1/4 of my life (according to life expectancy rate) is gone. That's a pretty bold statement, yet true. And are these not supposed to be the best years of my life? Then what is there to really look forward to in the next years coming? I've been thinking about that lately, I've been kind of bumed out the past few days. My business is going nowhere, I sit at home on my computer the whole day and my workout has once again failed. This is turning into a very sad blog I'll come back tomorrow and see if my own birthday will cheer me up. Goodnight.

And that's the end of that chapter.

Good Ol' General Hand Grenade

  • Jul. 21st, 2008 at 11:40 PM
Man it's been a long time since I last posted. But time apart from each other will only make us stronger? Bah, anyways. Lots crazy shit went down since I last talked to you. Lysh has been gone the entire time and only got back late tonight. I've been putting up a few posters for the business, looking at finally getting some business cards. Now I got this camera that kicks ass, just one problem, it records on tapes, ok Tyler just buy a memory stick to record in that? Well that's what I asked myself too, and then later bought one, it says it's ideal for video recording, but for some damn reason it can only take pictures, no video. Will this business ever get anything right? Enought business.

One of the days I went down to North Bay with two members from SAC, they had to go put up posters for the Trooper/High Holy Days benefit/free concert here in little ol' Sturgeon. The reason for having to put up these posters was that if we did do so High Holy Days agreed to give us a percentage of their merchandise sales. I'm all up for free money to the school. So the two members start giving out posters to people in the North Bay mall, all while I just follow them around (I was just the driver). Further on through the mall a security guard stops us and tells us we can't solicitate in the mall and that we have to ask permission to do such a thing to the mall rep. Alright so I figure we're done here, no, one of the members tells her that she wants to talk to the mall rep. So we go to the second floor of the mall and they ask the janitor to see her haha, and he takes us to her where she brings us into a meeting room. I casually sat down in the nice business chairs while they tried to get permission from her to give flyers out. She shut them down. So we head off on to the one of main streets in North Bay and just tape some to the posts and hand some out. Once we finished headed off back to Sturgeon.

The day before that I think it was, me and my buddy Leahy planned a walk to Verner, now on Google Maps it says it's roughly 32 km away from here. We didn't walk that much but it was pretty close. We walked the tracks for four hours to get there and another four and a half to get back. On the way there we saw chipmunks, rabits, a squished possum (I still think it was the King rat), a squised rabbit , a platypus (I'm not crazy, Leahy saw him too, he fell off an Australian train, you the ones that pass late at 3:17 a.m.... There was a snake that hid under the tracks, I saw him at the last second and jumped back, he kept following me and trying to bite me, he was not too friendly, I gave him the stick and he bit that for a while. Just before we got there, it looked as if a small package had fallen off, there was about 100 small necklace bag-ish things, no necklaces inside though, we check them all. I got a really bad sunburn from it, but you might ask was it worth eight hours of walking and a bad sunburn? Yeah, it was really fun, and now I can say I've walked to Verner and back, up next - North Bay?

Moving on to today, my cousin was over to go to the Trooper concert here. I went there with Mat, Pat and Leahy in the Saturn (grandmas kick ass car). I had to help out High Holy Days with their "merchandise" stand (CD's and water) for ther whole concert. It was fun, the guys stuck with me for the night and helped, I wouldn't have been able to do it alone. Made quite a bit of money for the school, good stuff. After the concert we went over to Gervais (local restauraunt, not bad/not great place). Ate our breakfast specials, well most of us and came back home to write the blog.

Oh yeah, and the day before the big walk I pulled an all nighter with Leahy, all we did from 3:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. was go on blogtv and have our own live show, I hosted and he cohosted it for awhile, some other girls cohosted some of it too, one stayed the whole show, all in all I think we had something around 150 people throughout the whole show, with about an average of 5 people in my room at a time. It was so much fun just talking and having my own show. I might be on once and a while so I'll post the link if your interrested in seeing it.

Well that's all for tonight, I should be back tomorrow, stay tuned and I'll save my review on the new number one movie of all time for tomorrow.

And that's the end of that chapter.

Point Form

  • Jul. 16th, 2008 at 1:46 AM

I was going to write one last night but the site was done and I was not able to post, and now I have to go to bed so I must make it brief.

Weekend

- Got my camera, it's amazing!
- Celebrated Kyle's birthday
- Shot at squirels with BB gun and bow and arrow, missed everytime, damn squirels are getting in our cottage and eating the peanut butter
- Swam, water was very nice the Friday then cooled down during Saturday and Sunday
- Installed dock and took out the boats
- Watched In the Valley of Elah, post tromatic war movie, very good with one of my favorite actors Tommy Lee Jones (8/10)
- Watched Dead Man's Bounty, it has to seriously be THE worst movie I've ever seen, actors were terrible, scenes did not follow, no story line and very confusing, I laughed so much though, I still suggest renting it for the humor that's not supposed to occur. (2/10, for making me laugh). Val Kilmer is in it as a dead body, nuff said.
- Relaxed

Monday

- Put up posters with Leahy for the business
- Got pricing on newspaper advertising and business cards
- Lazed around

Tuesday

- Went to Lysh's camp
- Had supper with the family
- Sat around the fire chatting
- Went tubbing for my first time, it was awesome (did not want to go water skying, too wavy for my first time)
- Said goodbye to Lysh, she's heading off to New York on a family trip, so I'm alone for several days
- Wrote blog

Tomorrow

- Put up more posters with Leahy
- Go to Summer Company (company that gave me money to make business) meeting in North Bay from 1:00 - 2:00
- Laze around

Goodnight!

And that's the end of that chapter.

*My new camera, I'll post a small trial video on here soon*

Off to the Camp

  • Jul. 11th, 2008 at 1:11 AM
Woke up today at 12:00 in the complete darkness. I decided to sleep in my step brother's room donw in the basement, there's no windows in there and it's nice and cool. Best sleep I've had in a long time. Eat my Vector cereal and begin to bring the weight set out on the porch, all while anxiously awaiting my camera to come in. Got an email later on in the day saying the product has just been shipped, meaning it'll hopefully be in tomorrow, so much for next day shipping. Oh well, that's business. Got my jug o' water and started pumping the iron (more like cheap metal covered with cheap plastic, Sears special workout set). As I was finishing my set, look who's walking by, it's Styx, a good friend. He came over and chatted it up on my porch, he judged my weight set and told me he got a job at Mac's, one of the many corner stores we have here in Sturgeon (Sturgeon Falls = corner stores, chip stands, gas stations and bars, helluvah town). He also told me Marc St-Onge got a job at NoFrill, where I worked this past school year for a few months. Marc St-Onge, another really good friend, I was looking forward to him being with me next year for a fith year, but he got accepted to Ottawa University, good kid, I wish him the best with his crazy life.

Once Styx left, I started my cardio stuff, man that was harsh. I'm feeling it now, which is why I'm going to be hitting the hay rather early tonight. Later on in the day had my Mc Donalds, workout gone down the drain haha, I need the calories. It was delicious. Then Lysh came over to hang out as I won't be seeing her this weekend. Which leads me to up coming plans. For my brothers birthday he wants to go to our camp. So I'll be there for the weekend, come back Sunday and as far as I know going to Sudbury to celebrate Mat's belated birthday. Fun weekend in store, even though my whole summer is a long weekend. Lysh went home and I went in the basement to watch Batman Begins (8/10), excellent movie, can't wait for Dark Knight, going to be just as good if not better. Goodnight and I'll see you Monday.

Happy Freaken Birthday Kyle!

And that's the end of that chapter.

*Sears special, does the trick but Styx had reason to laugh at it*

Church on Time Terrifies Me

  • Jul. 9th, 2008 at 11:14 PM
Woke up this morning at 1:30. And literally did nothing for pretty much the whole day, it's amazing how one can spend so much time on this usefull tool (internet) yet not accomplish anything. I don't even remember what I did or was looking at, in no way shape of form was it productive, that's for sure. My summer is wasting away, and I actually don't care, I'm anctious for this school year, I have my girlfriend half an hour away from me and my best buddy an hour away. I'm the president of the school I love, which entails countless hours lazing around in the Student Activity Cave. And my good buddy Leahy to keep me company at Northern with my 2 class semesters and hopefully make a video yearbook for the school, making profit from it of course, House of Brouse dosen't run on thank you's and well wishing now does it!? Does it!? All that and hopefully some adventures will take place next year, definately next summer I'm backpacking around Canada, yes I know it sounds silly to you, but it's always been on my mind. And a walk to North Bay is in talks as well.

Enough ranting, my dad came over to make some adjustments to my business poster, quite a few changes were made, for the better. After supper Patty and I went out and about, first he had to lend his traveling hard drive thingy to past president Phil. Funny story, Pat had only been to Phil's once, so he had a rough idea of where it was. We pull into this driveway as another guy pulls in in front of him. Following this truck down his driveway, the truck takes a right towards the garage and we take a left towards the house. Get out and start knocking on the door while dogs are coming every which way but loose at us. Then the family comes over, Pat thinking they were visiting Phil says hi and thinks nothing of it. Then the man asks Pat if he can help him. Pat answers his question with another question, asking if this is Phil's dad's house. The man tells us it's the next house down. I guess it's only funny if you were there. Go to Phil's house which looks roughly like the other house, not enough to confuse them. Give the piece to Phil and then left off to Mat's (another best friend). After a little small talk and physics tutoring we head for Tim Horton's for a coffee, and a doughnut...I know it's not good for me...don't look at me I'm a monster! Haha good thing the weight set is going out on the porch tomorrow while I wait for my camera. Tomorrow entails some working out, trying out the new camera and as far as I know going to Lysh's camp. Should be a swell day.

A new member has joined the blog community, I present you Leahy:

And that's the end of that chapter.

6:00 to 4 Seasons

  • Jul. 9th, 2008 at 2:03 AM
Yesterday just had a whole lot of movie watching going on. I watched 3:10 to Yuma, pretty good, I was expecting a little more frome it though, good acting overall (7/10). After watching that my brother, Kyle, and I had to return the movies. With the van not in the driveway, we had to hoof it. In the rain and 30 minutes until the late fee was charged. Let me tell you that clock hit 6:00 as the movies touched the counter, just in time. We then rented We Own the Night. Came back home, ordered pizza and watched it, it was alright, nothing special though (6/10). Later on in the night got Cameron to come over to film more of his scenes for House of Brouse. I was going to try to pull an all nighter yesterday to regulate my sleeping patern, my trick rarely ever works, I was thinking I'd do it tonight but I got quite a bit to do tomorrow.

Today I didn't watch any movies haha. But it was a really good day. I went on Rock Band to see the new downloadble content, and to my surprise, 4 very good songs showed up. Red Hot Chili Peppers (one of my if not my favorite band) Snow and Tell me Baby. As well as Rush (another one of my favorite bands, saw them in concert, amazing) Closer to the Heart and Working Man (both versions are actually Rush, not "made famous by Rush". I only had enough points to buy Snow and Closer to the Heart, if ever I get some money from this business I'll be getting the other two right away. Later on I got the ok to order my new camera for my videography business. I've been waiting a month to get this camera. The "specs" from what I cant gather from them are amazing, well better than any other camera I've used, it's a shoulder mount, making it much easier for me to film steady. And best of all it should be coming in this Thursday! I'm so excited for it. Other than that I've been taking it easy, eating healthy, drank 4 L of water today and ate a whole lot of Vector cereal. Now I'm off to bed, have to buy ink for my printer so I can start getting some posters up, going for lunch with my brother and dad, print those posters and work on my business cards.

And that's the end of that chapter.

Days in order of appearance:

Friday

Friday I woke up late and went to North Bay for a scheduled meeting with a guy from the Sony store to look at his lower end camera. Once arrived in North Bay I thought to myself, no...I don't want a lower end camera just for the sake of making things easier. Walked around the mall, ate at Mr. Sub (had the ultimate cheddar club, somewhat healthy, remember Mr. Sub is fair game), bought Shawn of Dead, Hot Fuzz and The Evil Dead "Ultimate Edition" (has all 3 of them). Then came back to Sturgeon.

Came back to Sturgeon and Patty (best friend in the whole world, aka Pat) wanted to go to North Bay and watch a movie. We drove up there and ate at Joey's Only. Now I thought it was a really low end restauraunt, I'll admit I was wrong. It was really good, we got some calamari (which the lady said was squid and how an old man stopped eating it after he found out what it was thinking it was ognion rings, if it tastes good before you knew what it was what's different now?). Ordered a seafood mix match dish, bunch of diffrent things, very good. Once we finished went off to the mall where Pat got Best of Both Worlds from Van Halen, very good as well. After that went to Galaxy and saw Wanted, I really liked it, the guy beside me laughed throughout the whole movie, no it's not a comedy. Unique idea and really good acting, overall 6/10. Came back home listening to Van Halen. Dropped the van at my house a began walking to Pat's to go sleep over. When about half down my street we hear a big yell, not sure how to describe it, asked my brother if he heard as his room is on the same side of where the noise came from, he heard nothing. Watched some videos at Pat's and other stuff. Went to bed around 3:00 and kept falling asleep and waking up to his cat meowing, who later on jumped my leg walking back from the bathroom.

Saturday

Woke up at Pat's at 10:00 and went home. Waited for Lysh to go off to her camp. Around 12:30 went ot her camp and was driven for a bit from her brother Chris, who has just aquired his G1, it was funny how he reminded me of when I started driving. Too wide or to narrow turns, slow down and nearly go off the road when another car is comin, halt breaking and nervousness to drive to go over 60 km/h.

Arrived there I meet the family, good bunch of people, all telling me how they knew my dad, "the goalie". Which is mostly the conversation we made, about my family and how they knew them. Went swimming and relaxed, it's a beautiful cottage, like mine but more electronic, not as much of a cottage feeling. Had fish for supper, good size, bigger than the fish we catch at my camp. At the end of the night we weren't able to go tubing so we watched Jurrasic Park 3, (5/10). Came back to my house and went to bed watching Shaun of the Dead (10/10). I rarely give out anything higher than an 8 but this movie is seriously flawless. The humor and jokes are so well thought and and acted out, I love the movie but I won't rant on it as this is getting quite long.

Sunday

Today I woke up late and lazed around the house, playing Rock Band and watching Speed (7/10). Tried fixing my Rock Band drum set which is falling apart every time I play. I just got back from watching Dan In Real Life (6/10), different movie but good nonetheless. Really not much to say, plans for tomorrow are my business meeting at 10:00. As for that I shall play it by ear. That's all for now I'm off to hit the hay for an early morning. I'm going to try to get back to the healthy eating and working out for this week, I've been slacking off the whole weekend, time to get back on the train, uh the train of prosperity? My cold has been getting a bit better, however my cough is as strong as ever.

And that's the end of that chapter.

On the Backorder

  • Jul. 4th, 2008 at 12:42 AM
Woke up at 8:00, my nose was filled with mucus and I could feel the dried up mucus crisp on the outside of my nostrils. Not too pleasant, so I went back to bed, not waking up once until 1:00. Finaly got out of bed and spent literally fifteen minutes trying to unclog the nose.

Lazed around a bit, then decided this time could be used more productively, helluvah business man I am... Made phone calls to the Sony store in North Bay and my mom knew a man from Photo Metro I believe, he knew quite a bit about cameras. He then suggests go to bistek.com, which leads to some foreign credit card company from what I could gather of it. Later found out it was vistek... The Sony guy had a good plan for me, he told me I should buy a mediocre camera and spend the other money on a different burner. The reason for not buying a "pro" series camera would be that I would have to dumb down (lack of a better word) the quality of the video to fit my simple dvd. Also, every high end  camera I asked if he had in stock in the Sony warehouse were all on backorder. Just my luck. I'm going to North Bay tomorrow to go talk to him and maybe go with his idea as soon as I the bank account open, then cash in the check that expires July 11th... A schedule so tight it could only work if I stopped sleeping.

Further on through the day, my brother received his new computer by the express man. Looks pretty awesome, I like the see through part in the case. I didn't work out due to health conditions, summer cold has gotten worse. if that's a valid excuse. I did eat well though, with my cereal in the "morning", no lunch, and a super big pizza sub...it had onions, Mr. Sub and "sit down and order from a menu" restauraunts are fair game. I've been drinking quite a bit of milk which is new, and no snacks.

Edited Marc's video he made of the guys blowing up an old computer with a MacGyvered pipe bobmb, look out for the video in the near future. After Lysh's work we went to Mr. Sub and then off to the movies and watched The Incredible Hulk, very good (7/10), a million times better than the other one would be putting it lightly. A bit too romantic and slow to start off, but all worth it for the final fight. Came back to the house and showed Lysh the new boat (recently got a new boat, goes fast). She left and Cameron came over to film some House of Brouse Episode 3. I'd like to add that it is coming along very well for a soon release. Good laughs.

Which brings me here to this blog and then off to bed for an early morning to the Sony store. Goodnight.

And that's the end of that chapter.

*Fengshui pieces I added to my room, very nice*
